While he was very much trying to get to Earth 38 to visit Kara for her birthday, he dumbly thought that he could do it by himself without using Cisco as some kind of breach GPS.
Instead he wound up ... on this Earth. Which he definitely doesn't recognize. He paused for a moment before cringing.]
[ The problem with this--the problem with Barry--is that it's all so new. He's gone from squatting in a loft to saving the world in less than a week. It's overwhelming and sometimes he thinks he can't do it, but he remembers batman's words. Save one.
So he does, and he's got a tiny bit of help from Victor this time, but mostly he just runs around Central City looking for trouble. He's a magnet for that sort of stuff and--
--Uhp. Yup. There we go. That sure looks like a weird bubble thing. Barry skids to a stop, vaguely aware of how red-yellow lightning is mixing with blue-white, and comes face to face with--
...what? Eyes wide, Barry stares at someone who has some weird version of his suit on, and, without saying anything, points back behind him where the portal was. ]
[Barry though, seems fairly chill. It's not the first time he's taken an accidental trip to an alternate universe - that's how he met Kara in the first place - but it is a bit of a pain when he doesn't know how to get home. That's why when the alternate Flash shows up, he's a bit relieved.]
Oh, thank God. I thought I was going to have to speed my way out of this all on my own.
[There's a grin as he makes his way closer and holds out a hand.]
Are you a Flash? Or do you go by something different like "Accelerated Man" or something?
[ 'accelerated man' gets him back onto the same page, and his hand moves up, as if to say 'one second' before it drops to his side again. He's standing normally now, though, no longer in mid-run or about to bolt. ]
Huh. [ It's said with conviction--'that's neat' without using his words, and his hands move to his hips, eyes narrowing. ]
'A flash' seems sort of rude, but not in a bad way, just---maybe demeaning? The flash was sort of what I was going for? [ Why that was phrased as a question is beyond him. ]
Are you--I mean, you're not me, but are you-- [ his voice dips, whispering: ] Did you get struck by lightning?
[ He mumbles when it comes to the answer and it sounds an awful lot like 'something like that' but is a little too indecipherable, probably on purpose but mostly because he's a little distracted.
There's someone else here. Someone that knows how to go super super fast. Someone else that calls himself the Flash.
