[And a breach opens up in the middle of a street in Central City, and it's quickly followed by a streak of red and gold lightning, which skids to a stop a few miles later. While he was very much trying to get to Earth 38 to visit Kara for her birthday, he dumbly thought that he could do it by himself without using Cisco as some kind of breach GPS.
Instead he wound up ... on this Earth. Which he definitely doesn't recognize. He paused for a moment before cringing.]
When she'd asked the guy, the multiversal attendant, he'd seemed... less than sure that he knew where she wanted to go. Oh, he tried to reassure her that he did. It was his job to. But if he'd known Rose, he'd have known better than to try and fib a fibber. Either way, he'd said 'The one with the superheroes, right?' and she'd said right and against all better judgement put some confidence in this man that he'd get her to where she wanted to go and who she wanted to see.
She shouldn't have. He didn't. ]
You're the wrong Flash. Sorry, this is. Uh. Awkward.
[ She had asked for The Flash, knowing that Wally had been the 'kid Flash' but trying to find him in the multiverse where he wasn't a kid anymore since that had caused them some problems. ]
[ it feels like she's been running forever, but she has no choice her portals won't work. maybe it's because she's panicking, or maybe it's the rain or maybe it's... it doesn't matter. she can hear the police closing in on her. escaping from the mutant jail had been hard enough - really she was lucky they hadn't put a collar on her.
clarice stops and leans against an alley wall, she tries to catch her breath then she raises her hand again. ]
Come on!
[ purple sparks appear and she scrunches her face in concentration and in pain.
"you stop there"
they found her. the police. no, no, no. she can't go back.
"mutant, stop what you are doing or we will open fire."
suddenly clarice feels a wave of energy, a rush of blood to the head as the portal finally opens up. she doesn't care where it leads, doesn't care about the risk of jumping through to somewhere she doesn't know. she jumps through it and lands flat faced and rain soaked onto the ground. muffled shouts come from the other side as the portal closes. ]
He wasn't her Barry - not that Barry was her's, because that would just be wrong. Her's as in he wasn't the Barry she knew. He wasn't the Barry who was her friend. But that hadn't stopped her from wanting to help him when he had ended up on her Earth.
She had heard about a red blurr being seen through the city so of course, she had gone to investigate. Somehow Barry had ended up on her Earth, just like the other Barry and just like the last time she was going to do whatever she could to help him get home.
But first, food.
They had gone back to her apartment, Barry had been filling her in on the Justice League. Kara couldn't help but be excited, an entire group of heroes? Maybe it was time she made one. The world could definitely use it.
"Okay so," Kara looked down at the stack of paper takeout menus on the counter. "What are you feeling? Pizza? Chinese? Potstickers? Everything?"
You should be able to drink my old man under the table, [says arthur, clapping the skinny kid on the shoulder. they're in a bar. the little bar in maine only a few miles from where his father's lighthouse stands on the edge of a stone precipice. it's nice to have visitors, even if amnesty bay isn't exactly top ten tourist destinations. especially after orm's trick had swept through. he appreciates barry coming through.] So that's two more. Second verse just like the first.
[clunk.
the beer stein lands the bar counter next to barry's hand. arthur grins at him, his eyes crinkling, even as the barman sets a second one down at arthur's bar. he's genuinely unconcerned— barry's metabolism isn't something he understands in terms of the physics and biology, but he knows it should take a lot more than that to even remotely endanger the little speedster's health.] After, I'll let you try some of my old man's classic hangover remedy.
