[ The world is a pretty messed up place. The important thing to remember is that it's not all chaos. There's a lot of hope, a lot of love--the whole Steppenwolf fiasco proved that. Hell, if anything, it spurred Barry on to be even better. Of course from the good of his heart, but also because he's pretty sure Superman would go into the whole 'I'm not mad, I'm disappointed' speech, and he isn't sure he can take it.
So he keeps protecting his city--his city, what a thought!--and even if it's just petty crooks, he's okay with it. He's making a difference. Plus, he has Bruce Wayne on speed dial in case shit goes down and that's pretty freaking cool.
He sees it--hears it, hears sparks, which is weird because this isn't the industrial district, and--portal? that's a portal. And that's a girl who definitely just flopped onto the ground and it looks like it hurts.
Barry doesn't ask questions. He zips over to her, lightning quick (literally), and is trying to help her to her feet. ]
[ it does hurt. it also feels different than the other portals she's gone through, somehow. she feels winded, dizzy. she doesn't realize there is someone there at first, she's to busy catching her breath. too busy hoping she's actually safe.
it's only when he tries to help her up she realizes he's there and instinctively she jerks away. she looks up revealing eyes so green they're practically neon and purple markings around her right eye. her hair had purple streaks in it even if they were hard to see as she was soaking wet.
for a few moments she just stares at him, trying to decide whether or not she needs to start running. ]
